International Theatre Institute (ITI), based in Paris –

The ITI is a global international theatre network having served, under the patronage of the UNESCO, the exchange of persons engaged in the theatre sector. It was founded in Prague in 1948 and has at present about 90 national centres. The ITI Centre of the Federal Republic of Germany lists about 200 members; the euro-scene Leipzig has been among them since 1994. Every three years it hosts the Theater der Welt (Theatre of the world), Germany’s largest theatre festival. It was last held from 25.05.–11.06.2017 in Hamburg. The next Theater der Welt will 2020 be organized in Düsseldorf veranstaltet.
