This humorously current music theatre piece with the ten-person Musicbanda Franui and Nikolaus Habjan as a director, singer, reciter and puppeteer is based on songs by Georg Kreisler. An evening full of thrilling energy.

Neville Tranter, the legendary puppet builder and puppeteer, shares the stage for the first time with his former student Nikolaus Habjan. It is a funny, absurd and political piece that is based on motifs from the musical and film »The sound of music«.

The performance will be followed by a public discussion with Nikolaus Habjan and Neville Tranter. Moderation: Ann-Elisabeth Wolff, euro-scene Leipzig

On 06. Nov. the film »The sound of music« by Robert Wise will be shown.

14 dancers show the constant flow of life and the inexplicability of fate. Guilherme Botelho created this exceptional piece full of enrapturing energy.

After the performance the City of Leipzig International Caroline Neuber Scholarship will be awarded.

This disturbing piece is based on the true fate of Friedrich Zawrel, who as a child survived the euthanasia crimes of the German occupation of Austria during World War II. This play by Nikolaus Habjan and his puppets has an enormous emotional power.

The performance will be followed by a public discussion with Nikolaus Habjan and Simon Meusburger.

A man in a room, a kind of box, that gets smaller and smaller: the Kafkaesque solo by and with Pierre Rigal stands for adaptation, the struggle for survival and loneliness. It has enjoyed a cult status for years now.
