Born on March 14, 1953 in Halle/Saale
and raised in Leipzig

Father: Hellmuth Christian Wolff, Professor for musicology, composer and painter

Mother: Liselotte Wolff, birth name Zeman, opera singer

1956 birth of sister Katharina

1959–71 school attendance, German high-school diploma

1971–75 studies in musicology at the Karl-Marx-University in Leipzig (degree: diploma), at the same time training in piano and singing at the College of Music »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« in Leipzig, guest student in dramatics at the College of Theatre Arts »Hans Otto« in Leipzig and assistant under the director Joachim Herz at the Opera house Leipzig

1975–90 editor (for operas and vocal music) at the music-publishing house Edition Peters Leipzig

1990 laid off due to the closing of the publishing house

1990/91 freelancer at the concert agency »art media & arTTour«

1985–93 work as journalist for various newspapers and periodicals to music theatre and dance, among others Theater der Zeit, Stuttgarter Zeitung, Leipziger Volkszeitung

1991 formation of the euro-scene Leipzig, festival of contemporary European theatre, and deputy director
