»Searching for traces« – In the 23 books of the ancient Indian monk Lurek Singh, also called the »Lurek Singh Prophecies«, the topic is divine punishment. This should lead to the equal treatment of humanity and every other living creature on the planet, and thus the loss of humanity's capacity to reason. The piece »Prophecy 20/11« will explore this archaic threat as stage reality.

In doing so, the focus is not placed upon the probability of the prophecy, but instead upon its effects upon the natural and social structures of people and animals. Using dance, theatre and object art, the piece seeks to pose questions regarding humanity.

On the occasion of its anniversary the euro-scene Leipzig advertised an in-house project for artists from Central Germany. The Festspielhaus Hellerau – Europäisches Zentrum der Künste Dresden (European Centre for the Arts Dresden) and the Thalia Theater Halle were won over to it as co-producers. This reactivates and expands the commitment to in-house productions, which previously included »Speicherung« (»Storage«, 2000) and »Tagwerk – Werkstatt – Tanz« (»Daily work – Workshop – Dance«, 2002 and 2003).

Philipp J. Neumann, born in Leipzig in 1977, is a director, writer and film producer. He has primarily directed works of music theatre, including those by Gluck, Händel and Telemann. He has directed pieces by Ravel and Saint-Saëns at the Musikalischen Komödie Leipzig as well as by Puccini at the Thüringischen Landestheater Gera. He directed Hans Krása's Theresienstadt opera »Brundibár« with the Gewandhaus children's choir in 2005. Steffi Sembdner was a member of the Leipziger Tanztheater until 2002 and has been a member of the ensemble of Theater Görlitz since 2009. Hagen Tilp completed his studies at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste in Dresden in 2003 and works in the field of puppet building and special effects for film and television.
