Informal European Theatre Meeting (IETM),
based in Brussels

The IETM is the largest network of persons engaged in the independent theatre sector in Europe. It lists currently more than 450 members from 40 countries. The IETM was founded in Polverigi / Italy in 1981 and gives et al. over to questions of cultural exchange, the Mediterranean regions, questions of labour legislation and qualification. The euro-scene Leipzig has been member of the IETM since 1991.
